Trenton Lose, 7-0, to RockHounds, Twigg
Wednesday, September 13th , 2045
Before the game, Michael Twigg said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Security Bank Ballpark, the RockHounds pitcher whitewashed the Trenton Thunder 7-0.
"I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Twigg said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my screwball even when I was behind in the count."
The Midland starter held Trenton scoreless, giving up 2 hits while registering 11 strikeouts and issuing no walks.
"We didn't have very many good at-bats," Thunder manager Taylor Guerrieri said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
This season to date Twigg has a record of 15 wins and 1 loss with a 2.12 ERA, has appeared in 21 games and struck out 152 in 140.1 innings.
