Mississippi Takes Conference Championship in Deciding Game Friday, October 20th , 2045 Mississippi Braves won a nail-biting series against the Springfield Cardinals 4-3, wrapping up the Conference Championship finale 8-5 at Hammons Field. Braves left fielder Colin Worthington was named the series MVP. He batted .400, drove in 5 runs and scored 7 to lead Mississippi into the next round of play. "Colin was real solid for us, real solid," said Braves manager Mike Novello. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Championship finishes.. |
