Big Day with Bat: Cavazos 5-for-5
		 |

Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Binghamton Mets right fielder Alex Cavazos, who missed the team's pre-game session at NYSEG Stadium but peppered the Lakewood BlueClaws for 5 hits come game time. The Mets went on to take the 11-2 win.

"I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often."

Alex Cavazos hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Joe Morse in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Mike Aldrich in the 8th.
This season Cavazos is swinging the bat at a .237 pace. He has hit 3 home runs and scored 30 times, while driving in 36. His on-base percentage is .281 and he has played in 99 games.
