Thrilling Win Pushes Dayton to Next Round
The stakes were high at Fifth Third Field today as two Midwest League clubs looked to advance in the quest toward the World Series.

In the end, the Dayton Dragons knocked off the Peoria Chiefs in the Wildcard Series, by a score of 9-8. After the one-game playoff win, the team will move on to the Division Championship.

"We never stopped believing," said Dayton center fielder Bryan Campbell. "All season long we expected to be going deep in the playoffs and we still feel that way. We're going to be a tough team for anyone to handle in the playoffs."

Campbell went 3-for-6 in the win and took home the game MVP award.

Evan Longoria, manager of the Chiefs, said he was proud of his club's efforts and said he believed that, with a few more breaks, it could have been his club advancing.

The Division Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes.
