5-1 Loss Deepens Minnesota Funk
|
The Houston Astros picked up a win at Minute Maid Park, knocking off the Minnesota Twins, 5-1. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Brian Lynch, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Twins, now 33-49, have lost 6 straight.
Chris Lane took Mark Case deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Astros on top, 3-0. In all, Lane had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Astros manager Dave DaSilva. "This one was nice to get."
