Blue Wahoos RF Gomez Gets the Cycle Sunday, May 13th , 2046 Blue Wahoos right fielder Leo Gomez made big news today in Pensacola's 8-5 victory over the Biloxi Shuckers. He was 4-for-5 at the plate and hit for the cycle, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. "My numbers were gaudy but lots of guys deserve a share of the credit today," Gomez said later. Leo Gomez tripled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Josh Pelletier in the 6th, walked in the 8th, doubled in the 10th and hit a two-run single in the 12th. |
