Thomsen Thwarts Portland, 5-0 Thursday, May 24th , 2046 Jeremy Thomsen was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Portland Sea Dogs on 6 hits. "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Portland manager Triston Casas after the 5-0 loss to the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Thomsen finished with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, New Hampshire manager Stu Cole said Thomsen "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
