Usrey Tosses Shutout Against Columbia Saturday, July 28th , 2046 Eddie Usrey kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Tulsa Drillers were all smiles after winning 6-0 against the Columbia Fireflies at Spirit Communications Park today. The right-handed Usrey gave up no runs in his start, permitted 4 hits and had 10 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Usrey said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." So far this year Usrey has a 9-2 record with a 2.50 ERA. |
