Curve Rakoff Fans 15 Smokies Sunday, July 29th , 2046 Altoona Curve starter Ryan Rakoff brought his best stuff to People's Natural Gas Field today against the Tennessee Smokies, striking out 15 batters in his club's 5-0 victory. In a strong performance, the 23-year-old Rakoff gave up 1 hit in his 7.1 innings of work and issued no walks. "I felt good out there," he said after the game. "My fastball had a lot of life and my fastball was sharp. It was giving hitters fits and working well for me." Checking out his stats for the season, Rakoff has notched 8 wins and 6 losses in 20 starts, 3.41 ERA and struck out 117 batters in 116 innings. |
