The Math Says - Jackson Out of Playoffs Saturday, September 15th , 2046 Even the most die-hard fans of the Jackson Generals will likely now start focusing on next year. The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Generals starting pitcher Dave McGee. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." The Generals have made the playoffs 15 times in their 31 years as a Eastern League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2044. In the last 10 seasons, the Generals have missed the playoffs 8 times.
