The team was today mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. "We're disappointed," said Shuckers closer Elijah Seabrooks. "Not just for ourselves, but also for the fans that stick with us every year." The Shuckers have missed the playoffs 25 times in their 31 years as a Eastern League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 6th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2040. In the last 10 seasons, the Shuckers have made the playoffs 2 times. |
