Pensacola Out of Playoff Race Wednesday, September 26th , 2046 The Pensacola Blue Wahoos may still need a piece or two before becoming championship material in Eastern League. The team has fallen short of its playoff goals this year, being officially eliminated from the playoffs today. "I feel like we have a great group," Blue Wahoos manager Chris Archer said. "We happened to come up short or our goal, though. We'll re-tool and be back stronger next season." The Blue Wahoos have made the playoffs 5 times in their 31 years as a Eastern League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2043. In the last 10 seasons, the Blue Wahoos have missed the playoffs 8 times. Pensacola last won the World Series in 2025. |
