Salim Goes Yard 3 Times
Wednesday, June 6th , 2046
Chris Salim brutalized the West Virginia Power pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 10-3 victory at Appalachian Power Park. The Hartford Yard Goats left fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Too much Chris Salim today," Power manager Cruz Gomez said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Chris Salim hit a solo-shot off Francisco Castillo in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Victor Medina in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Victor Medina in the 9th.
Currently Salim is batting .323 with 6 home runs and 19 RBIs.
