Whitecaps Flame Out Against Rosa, Hot Rods Friday, July 27th , 2046 Jesse Rosa kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Bowling Green Hot Rods were all smiles after winning 7-0 against the West Michigan Whitecaps at Bowling Green Ballpark today. The right-handed Rosa gave up no runs in his start, permitted 4 hits and had 7 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Rosa said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." This year Rosa has made 20 starts, thrown 133 innings, fanned 122 batters and walked 29. His won-lost record is 7-8 with a 2.84 ERA. |
