Yanagisawa Goes 5-for-6 Against Lexington Saturday, August 11th , 2046 No matter what the Lexington Legends threw at him today, Kunizo Yanagisawa hit it. He easily handled Legends pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Hot Rods to a 24-1 triumph at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Yanagisawa's quip, Legends skipper Tyler Sturdevant said he "would take him up on that next time." Kunizo Yanagisawa singled in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, tripled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 8th. Yanagisawa is currently batting .257 with 1 home run and 17 RBIs. |
