Everything came together at the plate for the 23-year-old first baseman as he collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and led the Hot Rods to a 24-1 win at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Kirui said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Azedine Kirui singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and singled in the 8th. For the year Kirui is batting .254 with 1 home run, 25 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |
