Hickory Shuts Out Clinton, 4-0 Sunday, August 19th , 2046 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Clinton LumberKings as starter Eddie Rojo shut out the Clinton LumberKings 4-0 at L.P. Frans Stadium. The Hickory pitcher struck out 12 and walked 1 while allowing 2 hits. "Rojo was good but he wasn't flawless," Clinton manager Vance Cobb said later. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Hickory, but this is on us." This season Rojo has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 12-3 won-lost mark and a 2.49 ERA. In pitching 115.2 innings, he has totaled 150 strikeouts and 31 walks. |
