West Michigan Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Tuesday, September 11th , 2046 Not even the most diehard West Michigan Whitecaps fan thought the team had much chance at the playoffs this year. But now even the faintest hopes have been put to rest, as the Whitecaps were mathematically eliminated from the postseason hunt today. Before this season, the Whitecaps last missed the playoffs in 2044. In the 31 years they have been a Midwest League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 29 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Whitecaps have only made the playoffs once. |
