Loyola Belts 3 HR Against Greensboro
Friday, September 21st , 2046
Fort Wayne TinCaps bombardier Danny Loyola set his sights on the stands and blasted three balls over the fence as his club took a 14-2 win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers today.
"I guess you could say I was a good guesser today, especially on the last one," Loyola told writers in the postgame press room. "I was ahead in the count, so I gambled that I'd get a certain pitch, and got all of it."
For the game, the Fort Wayne second baseman had 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5, and scored 4 runs.
Danny Loyola grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Cory Levine in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Mike Yorke in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Dan Durand in the 7th.
In this current campaign Loyola is hitting at a .317 clip with 11 home runs and 31 RBIs.
