Lucatero Hits in 20 Consecutive Games Friday, September 21st , 2046 The number just keeps getting higher. Kannapolis right fielder Vic Lucatero has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 5 at-bats as the Kannapolis took the 5-4 win over the West Michigan Whitecaps at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. "Who knows how long it will go on?" West Michigan manager Mark Trumbo said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Vic Lucatero struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 10th. Lucatero on the season is hitting .315 with 22 home runs. His stats include 95 RBIs and 76 runs scored. |
