It's Over: Snappers Stop Lucatero Monday, September 24th , 2046 The streak has been snapped. Vic Lucatero failed to get a hit in today's game against the Beloit Snappers, bringing his 21-game hitting spree to an end. The 21-year-old Kannapolis right fielder was 0-for-3, but the Intimidators got the win and defeated the Snappers 4-0. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Lucatero said. "I got to 21 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" Lucatero is currently hitting at a .313 pace with 22 home runs, 97 RBIs and has scored 77 times. |
