Yard Goats Prevail, as Wildcard Series Goes to the Wire Tuesday, October 9th , 2046 With a narrow 4-3 series win, the Hartford Yard Goats have eliminated the Fort Wayne TinCaps and are Wildcard Series winners. "We tried not to look ahead to the Division Championship, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said left fielder Chris Salim, who was named series MVP. Hartford won the final game by a score of 4-2, wrapping it up at New Britain Stadium. Salim's big series saw him hit .500 with a .615 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Division Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Series finishes. |
