Crawdads Prevail, as Division Championship Goes to the Wire Saturday, October 20th , 2046 The Hickory Crawdads and Delmarva Shorebirds hooked up in a classic Division Championship that went right down to the wire. In the end, it's Hickory heading off to the Conference Championship, after a 1-0 win at L.P. Frans Stadium tonight earned the 4-3 series win. Outside L.P. Frans Stadium, whether they were supporters of Hickory or Delmarva, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget. Michel Martineau played the hero for the Crawdads in the series, as his MVP performance included a .333 batting average, with a .484 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Championship finishes. |
