Chicago Topples Cincinnati, 3-1
|
Chicago starter Randy Budgell had a strong outing against the Cincinnati Reds at Wrigley Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. The win moves Chicago to a record of 17-13.
In the bottom of the fourth, Chicago third baseman Will Leslie had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Leslie stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 2-1, Chicago. For the game, he was 2-4 with 2 singles.
"Randy was able to execute his pitches," said Chicago manager Mergatroid Skittle. "Simple as that."
