Victory Pushes Yankees Record to 21-18
|
The exploits of shortstop Jason Peck, who finished 2nd in the AL in stolen bases with 60 in 2041, helped the New York Yankees defeat the Chicago White Sox, 4-2. Peck was 3 for 3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The victory gives New York a record of 21-18.
Peck had a key at-bat for New York early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and gave New York an early 2-0 lead.
Peck called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
