Giants Lose Late, 7-4
|
The Cincinnati Reds topped the San Francisco Giants, 7-4, with right fielder Jon Ledesma playing a big role. Ledesma went 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Reds in the win. Cincinnati is now 19-21.
Ledesma had a timely hit for Cincinnati in the top of the eighth. With San Francisco trailing 4-3, he turned a first pitch changeup into a grand slam home run. It was his 8th home run of the season, making it 7-4, Cincinnati.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Ledesma. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
