Chicago right-hander Ricky Salas pitched his team to victory over the California Angels at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. The final score was 4-2. Salas went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 7-1. Zach Ault was credited with the save for Chicago, his 14th of the season.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Randy Rosenberry? The Chicago center fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the White Sox on top, 3-1. For the game, Rosenberry had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Salas said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
