Rockies Fall Short, 4-3, at San Francisco
|
San Francisco Giants starter Josh Lister was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Colorado Rockies, 4-3. Lister, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. Andrew Kindig picked up the save, his 13th.
Jack Henningar, who led the NL in extra base hits with 100 in 2039, chipped in for San Francisco with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Colorado manager Nicholas Carrey Jr. said following the tough loss.
The triumph puts San Francisco at 38-19 for the season.
