The Texas Rangers got a good effort from starter Larry Legros in defeating the Montreal Expos at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The final score was 3-2. With the win, Texas upped its record to 32-25.

Butch Kaiser dealt the Expos a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with a runner on 2nd and Texas leading 2-1, Kaiser, who is tied for 8th in the AL in hits with 62, hit a 1-2 changeup for a run-scoring single.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Legros. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
