Starting pitcher Marc Maniu held up his part of the bargain, helping the New York Mets stymie the Pittsburgh Pirates, 3-2. New York reliever Chris Thurner picked up the win, upping his record to 3-6. Marko Emchenko absorbed the loss. New York has now won 3 in a row.

Jonathan Jenkins was the walk-off hero for New York. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mets second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
