Athletics Win, 8-1, at California
|
The Oakland Athletics picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, knocking off the California Angels, 8-1. Starting pitcher Corbin Schenn was a big reason why. With the victory, the Athletics upped their record to 35-27.
Oakland relied on the hitting of Muneo Kawachi to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Athletics on top, 4-0. For the game, Kawachi had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Schenn called the win "a team effort."
