Ledesma Delivers Walk-Off Win for Reds
|
It was pandemonium at Great American Ball Park after an exciting walk-off win.
Getting a good performance from designated hitter Antonio Figueroa, the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-4. Figueroa went 3-3 with 3 singles and 2 walks for the Reds. The last-place Pirates have lost 4 consecutive games.
Cincinnati won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Walt Quinn on the mound for Pittsburgh, right fielder Jon Ledesma hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Reds fans to their feet.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Ledesma said.
