Atlanta Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
In a low-scoring contest, San Francisco pitcher Josh Lister was marvelous in his team's 2-0 win. Chris Moris closed the door for San Francisco, picking up his 1st save of the year. San Francisco now sits in second place in the National League West Division at 46-32.
The Giants got a big at-bat from shortstop Carey Horncole. For the game, Horncole went 1 for 3 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 6th triple of the season gave San Francisco a 2-0 lead.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Horncole told the San Francisco Daily.
