Cubs Topple Twins, 5-1

The first-place Chicago Cubs took on the Minnesota Twins in front of a spirited crowd.
The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at Wrigley Field, taking down the Minnesota Twins, 5-1. Starting pitcher Edwin Rivera was a big reason why. Rivera went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 6-5.
Elijah Campbell, the Chicago second baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 1-0, Cubs. For the game, Campbell was 2-4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 times.
"We had a good game plan," Rivera said, "and we were able to execute it."
The Cubs, at 47-39, have now won 4 straight.
