Brewers Earn 6-5 Win Versus Nationals
|
Washington got a terrific game from second baseman John Sanders. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Milwaukee, 6-5. Sanders was 3 for 5 with a triple and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Milwaukee reliever Javy Uribe, now 6-3. The loser was Keith Pratt. With the win, Milwaukee goes to 39-49, while the Nationals fall to 38-50.
The Brewers relied on first baseman Dave Gonzalez for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the tenth, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
Gonzalez called the triumph "a good team win."
