Rangers Take Down Giants, 7-6
|
The 7-6 Texas win over San Francisco was due largely to Vincent Poopwell. The Rangers catcher went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win puts Texas at 49-40 this season.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Texas trailing 6-4, Cody Schumacher hit a fastball from Andrew Kindig for a 3-run home run, giving the Rangers the walk-off win.
"Put a star next to this win," Poopwell said.
