Minnesota Beats Seattle, 8-3
|
The Minnesota Twins downed the Seattle Mariners, 8-3, at Safeco Field. Hildo Pot led the way, going 1-for-4 for Minnesota. Minnesota reliever Manuel Romero picked up the win, upping his record to 8-5. Larry Tuckfard absorbed the loss. Minnesota is now 45-46.
With Minnesota leading 4-3 in the top of the ninth, Pot hit a fastball from David Sly for a grand slam home run. It was his 17th home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 8-3.
