Thomas Spins Gem, Houston Wins
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers.
The Houston Astros scored a tight 2-1 win versus the Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park. Houston pitcher Brian Thomas held his own in the contest. Bill Dillard got the save, the 10th for him this season.
Thomas, now 4-9, scattered 2 hits over 8 innings for the Astros.
"Brian was pounding the zone," said Houston manager Dave DaSilva.
The win puts Houston at 32-60.
