Reds Upend Brewers, 3-2
|
The Cincinnati Reds did just enough to sneak past the Milwaukee Brewers, 3-2, at Miller Park. Cincinnati pitcher Bryce Schimmoeller, in particular, had a standout performance. Dave Kurtz earned the save for Cincinnati, his 3rd of the year. At 42-55, the Reds are currently last in the National League Central Division.
Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Fabiano Perrolas to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Reds on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Schimmoeller.
