Yankees Lose to Red Sox, 6-4
|
Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees.
The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Fenway Park, taking down the New York Yankees, 6-4. Starting pitcher Justin Stinson was a big reason why. Boston reliever Elijah Daniels was credited with the win, to go to 5-4. Steve Grier took the loss for New York. Jaime Dunning converted his 2nd save in 2 tries.
Boston took a 6-4 lead on David Price Jr.'s 21st home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off New York pitcher Steve Grier in the bottom of the seventh.
"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Price Jr.. "I just want to win ballgames."
The victory gives Boston a record of 55-53.
