San Francisco Drops Cincinnati, 3-0
|
Matt Moffat pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Cincinnati Reds, despite Moffat's fine outing, dropped a 3-0 decision to the San Francisco Giants at Great American Ball Park. Cincinnati has now lost 4 consecutive games.
San Francisco took a 3-0 lead on John Blair's 8th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Blair hit in the top of the ninth, left Cincinnati pitcher Ryan Terlizzi visibly frustrated.
"I felt we were ready to go," said San Francisco manager Jobo Foster. "Our pregame was pretty good."
