Giants Win Thriller, 4-2
|
The Giants grabbed a win, 4-2, at AT&T Park, overcoming a fine effort from Milwaukee pitcher Travis Southern. Southern went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Caleb Mullinax notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 3-4. The Giants, at 64-48, have now won 5 straight.
The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with San Francisco trailing 2-1, Tom Best hit a changeup from Javy Uribe for a 3-run home run, giving the Giants the walk-off win.
"I like our mindset right now," said San Francisco manager Jobo Foster.
