The performance of Austin Mickelson proved critical in helping Minnesota beat Cleveland, 5-3. The Twins left fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Minnesota reliever Josh Langguth was the winner. Minnesota relied on the hitting of Sean Gould to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Twins on top, 4-3. For the game, Gould had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Minnesota manager Patrick Slack. "It's usually not just one thing."
