Baltimore Orioles starter Ryan Sobocinski was in fine form against the Washington Nationals at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, leading his team to a win, 6-2. The Orioles move to 56-73 with the win, while the Nationals drop to 50-79.
Jason Hayes hit a 2-run home run off Danny Diaz in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Orioles ahead, 4-2. In addition to the homer, Hayes had 1 single and 1 double, while going 3 for 5.
Sobocinski told a Baltimore Citizen reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
