Brewers Go Down to Defeat, 6-2
|
The St. Louis Cardinals got a strong performance from pitcher Keith Anter, who stymied the Milwaukee offense en route to a win, 6-2, at Busch Stadium. The winning pitcher was Anter, now 2-6. He tossed 5.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. St. Louis occupies 4th place in the National League Central Division at 59-75.
Klaas Meij chipped in for St. Louis with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
