Toronto Beats Minnesota, 11-4
|
The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Minnesota Twins, 11-4, at Target Field today. Leading the charge for Toronto was catcher Dylan Novakowski. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Spencer Jones. He tossed 106 pitches over 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. The Twins, now 60-77, have lost 4 straight.
With Toronto leading 7-4 in the top of the eighth, Novakowski hit a forkball from John McRight for a grand slam home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Blue Jays ahead, 11-4.
