St. Louis Cardinals starter Keith Anter turned in a top-notch performance against the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. The result was a win for the Cardinals, 1-0. Anter got the win, improving to 3-6. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Anter allowed no runs. Bryan Banana collected his 20th save.
In the top of the first, Klaas Meij ambushed a 1-0 splitter from Scott Bernstein and hit a solo home run. It gave St. Louis a quick 1-0 lead.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Meij told the St. Louis Chronicle.
The win makes St. Louis 63-76.
