Rangers Post 4-1 Win Over Houston
|
Butch Kaiser was a major contributor to the 4-1 Texas win over Houston. The Rangers first baseman went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Texas starter Gavin Nelson was credited with the win after throwing 101 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 3-10. Texas raised its record to 75-71 with the win.
Texas took a 4-1 lead on Kaiser's 15th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Paul Schwartz in the top of the seventh, propelled Texas to the win.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Texas manager Juan Smith III.
