Braves Make It 4 Straight with 4-1 Win
|
Atlanta picked up a win at Turner Field, bumping off the Chicago Cubs, 4-1. Pitcher Jeremy Kasten was a major reason the Braves emerged victorious. Victor Munoz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 30 of 32 save opportunities. Atlanta has now won 4 straight.
The Braves got a big at-bat from center fielder Cody Schumacher. For the game, Schumacher was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Atlanta a 1-0 lead.
Schumacher called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
