Yankees Deal Mariners 4-1 Defeat
|
New York starter John Brice pitched well against the Seattle Mariners at Safeco Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-1. Seattle falls to 1-6.
New York relied on the hitting of Evan Torraville to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Yankees on top, 2-0. For the game, Torraville had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Brice said.
